Monitor maintenance method

The medical monitor can monitor various physiological parameters of the human body and can generally be divided into basic measurement parameters and optional measurement parameters.

The basic measurement parameters of the monitor manufacturers include ECG, SPO2, NIBP, HR, and RESP.

Optional measurement parameters include invasive blood pressure (IBP), end-tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO2), body temperature (Temp), cardiac output (co), and blood analysis. It can be said that the monitor is an indispensable tool for clinical monitoring of patients, and its overall performance is highly reliable and has a low failure rate. Most of the frequently occurring faults are caused by improper operation or use of non-standardized faults. The following are some of the symptoms and solutions that are frequently encountered in the maintenance process.

Multi-parameter monitor

1 The electrocardiogram has no serious electrocardiographic waveform or displayed waveform interference.

Inspection steps:

(1) Whether the ECG lead wire is connected with the monitor correctly;

(2) Whether the ECG electrode placement position is correct;

(3) Whether expired disposable electrode sheets are used;

(4)Whether the place where the electrode sheet is placed is clean or if the hair and the hair lead to poor contact of the electrode;

(5) The ground contact is not good, there will be stronger interference;

(6) External high-frequency equipment interference;

(7) Open circuit of ECG lead wire;

(8) The monitor's internal module is faulty.

2 Oxygen saturation part Hemorrhage oxygen saturation cannot be measured.

Monitor manufacturers

Inspection steps:

(1) Check whether the oxygen saturation lead wire and the instrument are not connected properly;

(2) Check if the position of the blood oxygen probe is properly placed and the probe line should be placed on the back of the hand;

(3) Continuous monitoring of the same site for a long time will lead to poor peripheral circulation;

(4) nails are too long, smear nail polish affects monitoring data;

(5) The strong light environment has dry blood oxygen signals;

(6) When the ipsilateral arm measures blood pressure, the influence of pulses causes measurement difficulties;

(7) Blood Oxygen Lead Wire breaks;

(8) The monitor's internal module is faulty.

3 Non-invasive blood pressure cannot measure blood pressure.

Inspection steps:

(1) Improper blood pressure monitor settings: First, the choice of adults and children, and second, the choice of initial inflation pressure;

(2) Check whether the cuff is leaking or damaged, and whether the connection pipe leaks;

(3) Whether the position of the cuff is suitable;

(4) In the measurement process, the arm is squeezed, moved, etc. The measurement will not be reliable;

(5) After pressing the start button, the instrument does not inflate and the internal module or air pump is damaged.

4 Breathing part No breathing signal.

Inspection steps:

(1) Improper placement of ECG electrodes or poor contact between electrodes and skin;

(2) The ECG lead wire has an open circuit and cannot acquire signals.

In the use of the monitor, pay attention to the maintenance of the machine, which can run the machine in the best condition and prolong the service life of the monitor.

For example, touch buttons on the monitor should not be touched with hard objects. Otherwise, the touch buttons will be damaged, which will result in the monitor being unable to use normally.

When using the monitor, keep away from strong sources of interference and avoid using signal sources such as hand-held mobile phones near the machine.

When the machine cannot be used by people at fixed points and changes the site frequently, it is necessary to pay attention to the safety during transportation and placement, prevent dumping, avoid liquids and foreign objects falling into the machine, and prohibit irrelevant personnel from playing with the machine at random;

Do not fold or twist the transmission line of the machine sensor; regularly clean and disinfect the monitor and its sensor probe. The disinfectant should use the disinfectant specified in the machine operation manual.

Regularly dust and clean the inside and outside of the monitor;

The machine must be stored in a fixed place with ventilation and moisture protection. Do not place it at will. After storing it for a period of time, it must be taken out for a period of time.
